Most children will hate to have to leave their favourite beach at Marbella Senses, but if you are staying for a longer period, you might want to suprise them with a special day.

Water Paradise

A day full of water fun action, we found 2 splendid water paradises close to Marbella Senses.

Bet you want do do them both, once you have visited one to please your children!

- Aqualand in Mijas counts 5 water slides, a minigolf, a climbing wall. This waterpark is great for smaller children too.

- Bahia park, Algeciras is less crowdy and one of the best waterparks in the region, on a 45 minutes drive of Marbella.

Fairy tale castle

The Castillo de Colomares in Benalmádena is a monument constucted to honour Christopher Columbus.

It is a nice day trip to do with your children, as it educates on history being a real magical place in the same time.

Animal Parc

There are quite a few options if your children like to go to a zoo or animal parc :

- Sea life in Benalmádena is great for young and old. Especially the underwater corridors in the shark bassin are spectacular to experience. If you buy your entry ticket online it will be cheaper than

- The crocodile park in Torremolinos houses around 300 species of this interesting reptile. You can subscribe in a guided tour or visite the parc on your own. The dare devils can hold a little crocodile in their hands.

- The Bioparc Zoo in Fuengirola is a reserve for threathened animals like tiger, elephants and gorilla's.

- In Benalmádena you can visit the butterfly garden, housing around 1500 butterflies in a garden in South-Asian style

Selwo Aventura, Estepona

Selwo Adventure parc houses more then 2000 wildlife animals in semi-freedom on a domain of more then 100 hectare.

You can go on mini-safari, walk over wire bridges, go to a falcon show, practice your archery and much more.

The caves of Nerja

The Caves of Nerja boast extensive grottoes and archaeological remains including a 32 meter central column – the largest stalactite in the world !

The Nerja Caves Foundation has launched a new free app "Cave of Nerja" ( Android & iOS ), which provides all sorts of information, in four languages, for visitors to the Caves and the Nerja History Museum.

Users can choose between Spanish, English, French and German and there is information about tickets, times, facilities, cultural heritage, links to online tickets, a locator, descriptions of various areas in the Caves, data about the Museum and more.

Go karting

There are a lot of top quality karting tracks in the region, but the "Funny Beach Karting club" is especially recommended for kids. At the eastern entry to the town of Marbella, the track is built between the Autovia del Mediterraneo and the beach. Open all year around, but not in july and august.

If you are looking for professional quality, check out the "Circuito Campillos" 75 km inland from Malaga. The track has a lengtitude of 1.588 metre and a width of 10 metre, 12 right turns and 7 left turns. International top-level, but also a top quality circuit for kids.

Cable car, Benalmádena

The Teleferico Benalmádena is a 15-minute cable car ride that takes you from Benalmádena Costa to the summit of Mt. Calamorro offering spectacular views of the Costa del Sol.

At the top of the mountain you'll find hiking trails, an equestrian show and an aviary which features scheduled shows of exotic falcons, eagles and other wildlife. This is a great way to spend two hours with the kids showing them the stunning beauty and rugged landscape of the Costa del Sol.
